ASIST - Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training

Project CASE has 3 trainers available to teach ASIST skills to those who may come into contact with someone at risk of suicide. ASIST is a two-day course that will give you the ability to help an at-risk individual find a reason to live. ASIST is sponsored by the Colorado Office of Suicide Prevention & Project CASE. For more information regarding this valuable training please call Kristene Elmore at 303-659-6743 or Nancy Page at 720-933-1227. We can arrange trainings for your group.

Both groups are hosted by the Platte Valley Medical Center in Brighton and are located in Conference Room B on the 1st floor. To reach PVMC take I-76 to Bromley Lane. Turn west on Bromley Lane and proceed to the 2nd stop light. Turn south and follow the road to the hospital. Questions? Call Kristene Elmore at 303-659-6743 or Nancy Page at 720-933-1227. We have been through the pain of the suicide of a loved one and are here to help.

New Book! "My Uncle Keith Died" by Carol Loehr

Should suicide touch our lives, children naturally have questions-whether verbalized or not. How will we answer their questions? This children's book provides vital support for parents and professionals. Project CASE endorses this book as a great help for all of us who struggle with the questions that suicide creates. Call 1-888-232-444 or order through the website.

Project CASE Supports Cyber-Friends Online Suicide Grief Support

When I lost my son and felt so alone, I found it difficult to walk into a grief support group. I simply was not at that point in my grief where I could share my pain with others face to face. It was then that I found an online suicide grief support group that met my needs. Sadly that group has since disbanded but through my dear friend, Carol Loehr and her Gift of Keith website, a new Cyber-Friends online support group has been started. If you are in need of some private support among those who have lost loved ones to suicide, please contact The Gift of Keith and sign-up for the Cyber-Friends group. You will be welcomed with loving support from people like yourself.
